June 2024
Biosecurity and AI

We provided $50,000 to the Open Molecular Software Foundation to support an inaugural biosecurity fellowship at Rosetta Commons, with Samuel Curtis as the inaugural fellow. This fellowship helps bridge the gap between cutting-edge molecular design research and biosecurity policy analysis.

We expect this work will help build enduring connections between technical and policy communities, support the adoption of the Community Statement on Responsible AI in Protein Design, and improve our understanding of the impact of these emerging technologies in the broader biosecurity landscape.
